Looking for ESL training and prep? BRAA is offering an ESL summer course for internal and external students. There are two course offerings in both June and July.
The summer ESL (English as a Second Language) program at Burlington Royal Arts Academy is an initiative designed to honour the experience of our diverse student community and to meet their evolving academic needs. This course has been developed to provide support for our learners as they develop language and literacy skills in English. Participants are able to study at a level that is appropriate to their experience and goals for the future. Students will be provided with the skills and strategies they need to successfully transition to the next stage of their academic journey in university preparation English and other courses here at school. Students will build their capacity and confidence to undertake a range of academic tasks while using English with increasing fluency and accuracy across the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Additionally, students will be able to use their new and developing skills in social situations and to participate fully in Canadian society and within our school community.
June Course: Monday June 21st, 2021 – Wednesday June 30th, 2021 (Monday to Friday 9:00am – 11:30am)
July Course: Friday July 2nd, 2021 – Friday August 20th, 2021 (Monday to Friday 9:00am – 12:00pm)
