COVID-19 Update From BRAA Staff

Dear families and friends,
On Thursday March 12, 2020, the province announced that all Ontario schools will be closed from Saturday March 14th, 2020 and re-opening Monday April 6th, 2020to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  Here at Burlington Royal Arts Academy the health and safety of our students, staff and community is priority one and as such BRAA will also be closed during this time.  We recognize the significant impact this decision will have on families, students, as well as the broader community, but this precaution is necessary to keep people safe.
Beginning Monday March 23rd(following the March Break) students at Burlington Royal Arts will continue with their studies ONLINE from home.  Teachers will conduct daily lessons using the Zoom platform as well as  Google classroom during regular class period time-slots and students will be expected to participate and complete assignments while at home. Please keep in mind there will be a learning curve with this new platform.  Staff and students will need to work together to ensure a smooth transition to this new online learning format.  Attendance on a daily basis is required and your patience during this initial phase is appreciated.
Please feel free to contact Principal Brian Quistberg at brian.quistberg@burlingtonroyalartsacademy.caif you have any questions.
Please know that BRAA will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation which continues to evolve daily.  In the meantime, take care of yourselves and your families.  We thank you for your understanding and support as we all navigate this unprecedented event together.
