Dakota Stevenson grew up in the town of Virgil, Ontario. She started her dance career at the age of 15, at Laura Secord Secondary School (LSSS). Dakota was a member of the Niagara Academy for the Arts program during her time at LSSS. Specializing in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre. Starting her dance experience at a later age than most, Dakota still had a strong passion for dancing and performing. She was especially interested in the genre of Hip Hop. Dakota found it was a style she could really excel at. Evolving as a dancer, she challenged herself by joining Hip Hop crews, taking a variety of Hip Hop classes and creating her own choreography.
Dakota is now starting her third season with the Toronto Blue Jays dance team known as J Force. J Force gives her the opportunity to continue to perform and teach dance to the younger fans. Dakota is challenged every day at work by the unpredictability the game of baseball brings. Having to quickly lead her peers in different dances varying in tempo and genres to match the music played throughout the stadium. Dakota brings her Hip Hop flare to the team and is constantly growing as a performer and teacher.
